Walter B. Jacobs Nature Trails

  • Audubon Trail – .3 mile paved trail through bottomland hardwood forest with access to the pavilion, bird of prey aviary and amphitheater.
  • Yatasi Trail – .25 mile upland forest trail.
  • Ozark Trail – .25 mile hike through bottomland forest. Features vernal pools in spring. 
  • Ouachita Trail  .5 mile hike through the bottomland hardwood forest of pine, oak, and rivercane. 
  • Adai Trail – 1 mile hike through upland hardwood forest, featuring a variety of less common plant species.
  • Miracle Trail – 1 mile trail visits all habitat types on the property. Upland forest, flooded palmetto flats, and meadow habitat featuring many wildflowers and butterflies.
  • Caddo Trail – 1.8 miles through hilly upland forests to flooded palmetto flats with a rich variety of animals and plants.

    To protect our resources, we ask all visitors to:

    • Stay on designated walkways
    • Allow the plants & animals in the park to remain in the park
    • Dispose of litter in receptacles
    • Keep dogs on leashes and away from deer pen
    • Refrain from riding horses, skates, skateboards, or bikes of any kind on the trails
